Proverbs of the Dead
Music and Lyrics by Mat Greaves
Coffins don’t need pillows l heard grandfather say
Because everything is comfortable when you have passed away
Worms they forgive shovels so long as they are fed
So listen little chavos these are proverbs of the dead
Tick tock tick tock when your time is up
You’ll be fine as long as wine of ages fills your cup
And the nightmares that used to haunt you now are child’s play
So seize the witching hour just as you would seize the day!
Ghosts all need a place to haunt l heard grandfather say
Because existence can be so boring when you’ve passed away
Grab your loved ones ankles from underneath their beds
And then they’ll say good riddance! These are proverbs of the dead!
Zombies all need flesh to nom I heard grandfather say
Because normal food just tastes disgusting when you’ve passed away
Make sure that you nom a soldier after he’s been wed
And then his wife is taken care of! Proverbs of the dead!
Seize the witching hour just as you would seize the day!
