Head of the House

A rich man offered a reward
To anyone who wanted
To try and last a whole night
In a house extremely haunted.
No one dared attempt
To claim the winners purse
For all were too afraid
Of the house’s macabre, horrific curse.
Finally a young gypsy man
Not more than 20 years
He said, “I’ll take the bet,”
As he banished all his fears
“So long as I can bring my dog,”
He said, “Sure I’ll stay.”
The rich man shook him by the hand
he said; “Hopefully I’ll see you the next day.”
There the two friends sat
As he built a cozy fire in the living room
When upon a sudden they heard
a haunting voice singing through the gloom.
(Everybody!)
And the voice said
“Me Tie Doughty Walker
Me Tie Doughty Walker
Me Tie Doughty Walker”
Me Tie Doughty Walker
And the dog replied,
“Lynchy Kinchy, Colly Molly, Dingo Dingo,
Lynchy Kinchy, Colly Molly, Dingo Dingo”
Needless of course to say
The young man he was quite surprised,
To see and hear the doggie sing
Before his ears and eyes.
Yet the two friends remained,
The gypsy and his dog.
Then it came a bit louder,
That haunting voice, screaming through the fog.
And the voice said
“Me Tie Doughty Walker
Me Tie Doughty Walker
Me Tie Doughty Walker”
Me Tie Doughty Walker”
And the dog replied,
“Lynchy Kinchy, Colly Molly, Dingo Dingo,
Lynchy Kinchy, Colly Molly, Dingo Dingo”
(bridge)
Me Tie Doughty Walker
Lynchy Kinchy, Colly Molly, Dingo Dingo
Me Tie Doughty Walker
Lynchy Kinchy, Colly Molly, Dingo Dingo
Then at the witching hour
The best part of the night
A bloody head rolled down the chimney
The two friends froze with fright
The dog looked down,
She locked eyes with the head
In that moment her heart did stop
She fell to the ground dead
The head turned to the boy
Opening its rotten jaw
Rolled its eyes back,
Drew a breath
Said to the boy-
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!”
(Everybody!)
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!”
Then the head said,
“Me Tie Doughty Walker
Me Tie Doughty Walker
Me Tie Doughty Walker”
Me Tie Doughty Walker”
“Lynchy Kinchy, Colly Molly, Dingo Dingo,
Lynchy Kinchy, Colly Molly, Dingo Dingo”
