It’s that magical time of year when Arizona once again pulls us close to her bosom and welcomes us like the naughty children she never dreamed she’d have!

Come one, come all to the Two Rivers Renaissance Faire where you too can eat a thing and drink a thing and buy a thing and watch a thing and hopefully even find a spare moment to come see our show because we can confidently promise you this:

Midnight Champagne and Alligator Jerky!

London Bridge Renaissance Faire, you showed us some amazing hospitality and a kick ass time! Let it be known that we: Resolve to control our F-Bomb Tourettes, get a jigglydance lesson for Uncle and buy Pavel some more appropriate footwear for the weather.

WOW WAS IT COLD. BrrrSauce.

Arizonites, you ams hard core!

And? Voice of Faire, announcer guy whose name we probably should have gotten since we made multiple threats to kidnap you and take you on the road with us?

YOU ROCKED IT.

But we did indeed have a grand time with our extended kumpania: Cutthroat Reef, Colette the Bard and Thomas Wood: The Pyro Juggler, from our arrival at the lovely New Year’s Eve Ball where we got to do a song or three and then enjoy some champagne at the stroke of midnight, right up until tear-down at the end of Sunday’s festivities. I don’t recall when we’ve been better mic’d – even Pavel’s cowbell. NEAT! We’re ams all of the spoiledface and ruinedsauce now!

Also? We even ate Alligator Jerky!

(It was quite interesting and new which is a rare event when you are an undead Gypsy type who has been wandering the world for hundreds of years…so well done, House of Jerky merchant guy and his kid!)

It broke our sticky, black plague encrusted hearts to miss the first weekend of Fall Esco due to other bookings but we will be back with a vengeance for second weekend so WATCH OUT. Especially you, Your Majesty, most revered Queensauce!  We’re pretty sure Pavel has something planned though we don’t know quite yet what exactly it might be! (He might not either!)

GALLOWS HUMOR is the reason for the season!

The Halloween season, that is!

We are excited to be performing at a really awesome first time event this year, HUNTINGTON HAUNT EXPERIENCE! It runs a full four days and promises to be quite the spooktastic spectacle.

There will be candlelight tours of the Newland House all done up for a festive Halloween wedding uniting two notoriously feuding families because WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO TERRIFYINGLY WRONG?!?

Cue “Hanging from the Gallows” !!!

There will also be a Haunted Carnival with artisans and such, a Victorian physic, henna painting,  a Costume Contest, live entertainment (did I mention GALLOWS HUMOR?!?!), food, wine and craft beers. And all for an awesome cause – a Universally Accessible Playground for local kiddies – because why not! It’s the first baby step to world peace and who doesn’t want THAT!

We will have t-shirts and swag and stuffs and of course awesome musics to fill your earholes with! So…

Off Kilter Kilts! is having their GRAND OPENING! this Saturday and I am so excite to announce that they will be stocking our CD, Necrodancer, as well as Gallows Humor T-Shirts amongst all of the other spectacularly kilt-tastic apparel!

There will be Kilts! There will be live music! There might even be a Gogu!

The Ribbon Cutting is at 11:00 AM! Commemorative photographs will be taken! Maybe even with YOU in them!! Perhaps even YOU wearing your brand new KILT!!!

Going all the places, doing all the things!

Despite blog silence, Gallows Humor has been mighty busy lately. Doing what you might ask? Well.

Marian Von Gogu had a spectacular birthday celebration a couple months ago that we are still recovering from. Most notably, Mischa’s hindquarters because, clumsy. Also because Extreme Dancing™ with Mickey Slinger of Cutthroat Reef!

The lovely folks at Café Mermaid also secured our entrance to Koroneburg this year for final weekend where we sang a few songs and made fast friends with the brewing Monks, a brand spanking new guild at KBurg. As Baron Heinrich von Lauffer would say, they ams “WUNDEBAR!” and definitely our kinds of peoples.

We even got to join our good friends, Enchanted Realms, on stage for a few tunes!

MISHTO!

About half of Gallows Humor made their way to the Pirate Invasion at Belmont Shore and played a bunch of songs there too. Silly Pirates, invasions are for Gypsies (and maybe the Spanish and our friends the brewing Monks who were also there). Especially at pirate festivals because how can pirates invade their own festivals? The short answer is, THEY CAN’T. (Unless you ams Sea Wolf because they ams magical and trixy)

So there you go.

We are also working on a couple of new CD’s, one recorded live and one recorded in the studio. We hope to have them ready for your voracious consumption at our next scheduled Renaissance Faire, Fall Escondido, along with another surprise or two that I have heard whispers of which may or may not be in the works, BECAUSE INTRIGUE!

Spring Esco Faire, you showed us quite a time!

This year’s Spring Esco Faire was magnificent! 2015 will go down in all the seedy historical romance novels as the year in which Pavel Malikov serenaded and asked for Her Majesty’s Hand in marriage despite numerous objectionals by his own Barrister, Marian V. Gogu, Esq. and an eyebrow raise or two from his current wife.

Nice try, Mr. Malikova!

Such fun was had and also a lot of tipsy-Gypsy-toeing as the inaugural batch of Pavel & Mischa’s Hard AppleSauce™ made its debut. Definite room for improvement but…it got the job done in splendiferous yeasty fashion!

MISHTO!

The Romale Strigoi encampment overflowed with all of our favorite peoples and curiously…a lot of May flowers. We shall not speak of the latter ever and ever again. Many songs were sung, much love was shared, and a whole bunch of friends got Gypsy-piled.
